Innovation can be difficult to define, and is often the result of a collaborative process.  The following projects provide an insight into the innovations contributed to by team members:



Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC)
The BCEC was the subject of a competitive tender process.  One of the reasons cited in selecting the preferred bid was the extreme efficiency of the carpark . 

An innovative approach to the carpark layout, entry and exit arrangements, finely tuned with the structural engineers Arup and the architects Cox Rayner, saved half a carpark level across the entire site.  This reduced the overall building cost significantly without impacting on the carpark operations.

South East Busway
A consultancy role providing a high-level review soon after the South East Busway Project was committed, identified a number of planning, design and operational factors that had the potential to significantly undermine the potential of the South East Busway.

An innovative approach that stepped outside the brief successfully averted the South East Busway being a “white elephant” and instead initiated a collaborative approach with GHD and Davidson Consulting that found solutions and averted a potential poor outcome.
